We designed and machined "pallet housings" for ceramic rotary piston pumps made from high grade ceramic oxide compounds + their assembly components. These pallets were routinely introduced to autoclaves (commonly used for sterilizing instruments, medical equipment, culture media, and various materials in labs and healthcare facilities, using extremely high temperature and steam).
Responsible for developing a design, testing at the machine, and machining batches of hundreds, these assemblies consisted of 3 parts - a retrofitted "hub" that fit in 12 rotary dial locations, an internal tapered "nest" for collapsing on and releasing a vial, and a SS tapered "vest" for housing the nest.
Responsible for developing a design and machining parts from bonded/vulcanized rubber to aluminum. Installed onto a stroke cylinder to reduce the stroke length during a pick-and-place operation.
Responsible for developing a design and machining alignment screw pins from 300 series SS for aligning a rotary dial plate to zero deg position at line start-up.
